Impact over Followers in Building your Business Online. It's more than the numbers.
I wanted to talk about focusing on IMPACT over FOLLOWERS today. Are you focused more on the numbers or more on your IMPACT that you can create and WHO you’re doing it for?? It’s on my heart and so I’m here for it.
What would it look like if you focused your life and even your business on things like:
Joy.
Peace.
Patience.
Kindness.
Goodness.
Faithfulness.
Gentleness.
Self-control
Over your number of followers or how many flipping LIKES you have? WHO CARES!!
I have something exciting coming in a few short months that I hope will impact many of you & YOUR growing businesses, brands, the way you show up professionally and creatively online and the empires you are building!
BUT FIRST, let me explain. My thirst to want to know you all more, and who I can impact with my knowledge and expertise, in ways that are in line with the fruits that Jesus has put in my heart, It wasn’t until I really dove deep and opened my devotional, scrolled through a few iPhone photos I’ve taken lately and the conversations I’ve had recently that I realized something....
Impact is everything.
Everything. But what do you mean Janel? Allow me to share more…
The fruits of the Spirit are not:
Followers on Instagram.
Money.
Fashion sense.
Talent.
Numbers on a scale.
Popularity.
Car you drive.
House you live in.
Career.
What they ARE:
-Spending quality time with my littles is fleeting way too fast! = Priceless. We laugh often but need more of it! I want to explore new cities and places together and soak them up! JOY!
-Spending time with great friends, our soccer family and amazing virtual friends turned besties and even clients has been also so priceless! Each of which has created so much impact in my life, and I hope I in theirs. KINDNESS & GOODNESS!
-Focusing on being present to enjoy the moments I am in in and making the most of it, even if at first I didn’t want to, IS WORTH IT! To stick with things, with compassion, with conviction, basic love, PEACE & PATIENCE permeates things and people.
When I’m open to these things, I’m living in the moment. And when I can actually stop and live in the moment that’s where impact happens.
When we focus our energy and efforts on the numbers; be it number of followers, members, income, etc., we’re missing out on so much and the impact waiting for us. THANKFUL FOR YOU!
